The Irishman by Martin Scorcese

What made me watch the movie – the stellar cast and the ace director

What I liked about the movie – the movie itself is the opposite of the Two Popes. I think I’m borrowing the words of a movie critic when I reiterate that the two popes invisibilized the craft of acting, while this movie made it overt and flamboyant. This movie is a slow burn, and by the time you’ve seen the movie, you’d have aged significantly – emotionally

Who will I recommend the movie to – a serious series buff. This movie, like Sherlock, is not for everyone.

What did the movie teach me – taking pride in one’s work

Sherlock by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat

What made me watch the movie – it was recommended to me by a friend

What I liked about the movie – the absolute madness and chaos that this series is. Meticulate, planned, orchestrated, brilliantly conceived frames of chaos. This series made me wait for three years at a stretch to get a glimpse of three episodes at a time. This series is the reason why I hate cliffhangers. And trust me when I say, the east wind is coming.

Who will I recommend the movie to – a serious series buff. Sherlock is not for everyone.

What did the movie teach me – its okay if I talk to myself 
