A human trying to find a purpose in life

Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman

What made me read the book – i bought it as an ebook, and i thought to read and get to know more about Norse mythology in his words

What I liked about the book – storytelling. It’s not direct, it’s almost poetic. Also, the way the stories are framed. We’re talking about a religion in decay – maybe your own religion may rot, if enough people don’t practice it. Many of the norse legend stories are extinct, what remains is what you know about – in a distorted way.

Who will I recommend the book to – someone who’s into mythology, because the comparisons are similarities are everywhere

What did the book teach me – maybe religion is man-made after all, that all this philosophy and religiosity is just a placebo pill to stop you from seeing or encourage you from forgetting the realization that there’s a deep chasm all around your large, little world and what’s holding you back is your social bonds

Life Updates

It has been a long time since i posted, right? So, come along. Let me tell you what I’ve been up to.

I’ve been learning to peel potatoes without making it shy. Oh, and I’ve done much more than that. I’ve defeated the dragon by setting it up with the sphinx. I’ve made the ocean water sweet by mixing a spoonful of honey. I’ve made the sky take a litmus test, and it turned red.

I’ll tell you what i couldn’t do. I couldn’t convince Voldy to grow his hair back. I couldn’t stop Heisenberg from saying his name. And, i couldn’t tag along with the werewolves for the moonlight walk – i sleep at 9.

With all of this going on, i hardly had time to do what i wanted to do. I wanted to wear a shirt with no holes. I wanted to walk to the event horizon. I wanted to hear the mesmerizing face of a manatee.

Come tomorrow, I’ll see what i can do. And, I’ll do what i can so that I’ll do what I will because I’ll do what i should – sleep for longer hours. I’m already quite hairy – maybe once i sleep longer, I’ll become the first tall Koala. I don’t have the Koalifications, but i do have the Will Smith to make a Chris Pratt.
