What made me read the book – i bought it as an ebook, and i thought to read and get to know more about Norse mythology in his words

What I liked about the book – storytelling. It’s not direct, it’s almost poetic. Also, the way the stories are framed. We’re talking about a religion in decay – maybe your own religion may rot, if enough people don’t practice it. Many of the norse legend stories are extinct, what remains is what you know about – in a distorted way.
Who will I recommend the book to – someone who’s into mythology, because the comparisons are similarities are everywhere
What did the book teach me – maybe religion is man-made after all, that all this philosophy and religiosity is just a placebo pill to stop you from seeing or encourage you from forgetting the realization that there’s a deep chasm all around your large, little world and what’s holding you back is your social bonds
